The FAM: Foster & Adoption Ministry

The mission of The FAM is to support & encourage Bridgeway families involved in foster/adoptive care & to be a resource for those who are seeking to foster/adopt while connecting the church with opportunities to serve those families. We are inspired by the words in James 1:27, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

Here are some resources and ways you can connect:

FAM Mom’s Support Group | 2nd Mondays, 7 pm | Room 25

Monthly support group for Mom’s that have, are currently, or are pursuing foster or adoptive care of children. This is a time for encouragement, prayer, and support to build each other up in the Lord. Childcare will not be provided.

FAM Foster and Adoption Info Night | January 18, 6:30 pm

We are hosting an informational night for all of Bridgeway to come learn about the heart of Fostering and Adoptive Ministry. If you have ever or are currently fostering, have adopted, or have any interest whatsoever in fostering or adopting in the future (or if you want to know how you can come alongside those who are) you're invited to this informational evening where we will give some brief info about Bridgeway’s Foster and Adoption Ministry (The FAM) and upcoming events and resources for foster and adoptive families, we’ll participate in a panel discussion of foster parents to be interviewed by the audience about fostering/adopting, and hear from OK Fosters on opportunities in the OKC Metro to help serve kids within the Foster Care system and the families who are loving them. Please register for childcare.

Created to Connect | Thursdays, 6:30-8:30p // Feb 8 - Apr 5 // Wayne & Amy Hancock
Join us for an 8 week Bible Study open to all parents and caregivers that will help illuminate the biblical principles that serve as the foundation for the philosophy and interventions detailed in Dr. Purvis' book, The Connected Child. Book will be available the first week of class for $5.
