Darcie - 2023Mobilization Coach

Since 2020

Who I am:

I am from the beautiful state of Oregon and I enjoy the outdoors, soccer, volleyball, and ultimate frisbee, playing guitar and piano, worshipping Jesus with other believers, drawing, time with my family, and having meaningful conversations with friends over a good cup of coffee.

I went on my first international trip to the 10/40 window a few months after graduating from high school and saw the need for more workers firsthand. After that, God led me to OKC in 2013 to receive training and discipleship as I volunteered in inner-city elementary schools with a non-profit which I later joined and served with for the next six years.

While taking the Perspectives course in 2018, God broke my heart again for those who not only haven’t heard the gospel, but on top of that, don’t even have access to it. At the same time, His promise that the earth will one day be covered with the knowledge of His glory brought me hope and joy.

What I do:

It is amazing partnering with Him on the mobilization team at Bridgeway as we invite His children into His mission and equip disciple-makers to go to those who have never heard. I love seeing people realize the immense need for more workers to go to the unreached and God’s hearts for all peoples to know him for the first time. I also love seeing the Holy Spirit continually stirring more passionate worship in believers as they take steps of obedience, whether it be sharing their testimony for the first time or pursuing joining a team among the unreached.

What God did:

There was a time in my life when I experienced a lot of pressure to perform and be "good enough" in order to be close to God. Along with this heavy weight came a constant fear of what would happen if I failed. But then God helped me begin to understand and believe the truth that I'd heard so many times that Jesus is the only "good enough" one and that through him I am fully accepted by God. Because of Jesus I now experience freedom from that heavy weight and enjoy his presence. I look forward to the day when I will see him face to face.
