Who I am:
I have been married to my best friend Justin since 1999. I am a mother of three amazing children, Ashlynn, Kylie, and Ryan.
Our family loves to play games, and our favorite vacation spot is anywhere with sandy beaches and rolling waves. I love to read. Digging into a historical fiction book is the best way to spend a day, especially if it's next to the pool. I find rest and enjoyment in doing yard work, keeping a tidy house, and organizing my home and family. My escape from the busyness of life is found in my backyard swing, where Jesus seems to be waiting to meet with me every single time.
What I do:
I have experienced the transforming work of the gospel and Holy Spirit in my life, my marriage, and my family. I want those that attend Bridgeway to experience the same. Through connecting to the life of Bridgeway, I believe that others can grow in their knowledge and love of God, learn to apply the gospel in every area of life, find community, and be confidently sent with the gospel message to their family, neighborhood, network, the marginalized and the nations. I'm passionate about connecting the diverse spiritual family of Bridgeway, from birth to 100 years old to pathways of growth in Christ, and to be equipped for the work of ministry.
What God did:
I grew up in church, knowing who Jesus was, but without a growing relationship with Him. As a teen, I tried to live a double life with one foot in the world and one doing the "Christian" things. But I was a slave to sin and a captive to guilt and shame, always disappointed in myself, confident that God felt the same way too. But God opened my eyes to my need for a Savior as a young adult. He showed me that my knowledge of Jesus didn't save me, and he invited me to surrender my life to Him as Lord. I received his free gift of love, mercy, and forgiveness found at the cross. Jesus paid the penalty for my sin, freed me from it, and took the guilt and shame too. Now I find my rest, peace, and joy in Jesus because I know that he loves me and calls me friend!
