"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the lord as the waters cover the sea."
Did you know there are almost 1 million international students in the US each year, with 62% coming from unreached areas? God is bringing people from all over the world, but sadly, 80% of those students return home without ever setting foot inside an American home. Many international students are specifically excited to see how American families live. Could we ask for a better way to share and live out the Gospel?!
- CRISP and Friendship Families (at UCO and OCU, respectively) join an American family with an international student, not for a homestay, but to spend time together at least once a month at organized events or personally planned activities.
- Conversation Café gathers volunteers on the UCO campus to provide opportunities for international students to practice conversational English. The Chiu family, who were recently sent by Bridgeway, began their journey by participating in Conversation Café!
These programs are incredible ways to begin exploring your role in the Great Commission. Let’s be a church that is known for welcoming the nations.
