Marilyn Tardibono

Deacon of Communion

Since 2025

Who I am:

I grew up in Oregon and studied Japanese. After a stint in Japan, I moved to Washington DC where I met Timothy. We married in 2000, and have four children who we’ve homeschooled. I find pleasure in my flower garden and in helping others.

What I do:

Preparing and serving communion is a joy. When I look at each brother and sister in Christ and utter, “This is the body of Christ broken for you. This is the blood of Christ shed for you.” the full impact of Christ’s sacrifice and love for each one moves my heart.

What God did:

I grew up in a Christian home, but I was gripped by fear of being left behind at Christ’s return. But then, I came to know His grace, and the assurance of salvation. I now walk in peace and confidence in the redemptive work He has done in my life.
