We are called to partner with global workers through prayer and ongoing financial, physical, spiritual, and emotional support. There are many people whom Bridgeway supports - from global workers to local church planters. We partner with these people through prayer, support, and by sending short-term mission teams to join them throughout the year.
Advocacy Teams
An Advocacy Team is committed to sending our Goers in a manner worthy of God and is the most tangible expression of our church’s commitment to them. This team is a group of 6-10 individuals who take the responsibility to coordinate our church’s support and encouragement of Bridgeway’s Goers and to serve as their representatives to Bridgeway’s church body. The team is the primary link between the Goer and the rest of our church. They are an extension of the Goer’s team. Because of the strong personal relationships, the Goer can be open and honest, allowing his or her team to see needs and share successes and defeats.
The healthiest long-term Goers are often found to have strong and committed Advocacy Teams. Advocacy Teams are in fact, a very necessary part of the Goer’s team and an extension of their sending church. There is no gift or skill that isn’t beneficial and often necessary to a Goer through an Advocacy Team, and it is an honorable role to serve our Goers as part of their Advocacy Team (see 1 Corinthians 12:20-26).
