We exist to exalt Christ in the city through gospel-centered worship, discipleship, community, and mission.
To say that Bridgeway is a gospel-centered church only makes sense if we know what the gospel is. The gospel is the good news that God has graciously done everything necessary through the sinless life, atoning death, and bodily resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ, to reconcile us to himself forever. This gospel is more than simply the foundation for what we do. It also energizes and gives shape to each of our four ministry values as a church.
Our core practices
Our mission is pursued through four core practices: worship, discipleship, community, and mission. These practices represent our biblical responsibility as Christians and shape the way we do life together. None of these can be neglected if we hope to fulfill this mission.
Gospel-centered worship calls us to love, enjoy, and treasure our great Triune God. Our hope is that Bridgeway will be a place where you are increasingly fascinated with God’s beauty and enthralled by all he is for you in Jesus.
God has also invited us on a journey as followers of his Son, Jesus. The Bible calls this discipleship. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we long to experience ever-increasing conformity to the image of Christ himself. What would it look like for you to join us in this spiritual transformation of becoming more like Jesus in every way?
We’re fooling ourselves if we think we can do this alone. That’s why community is so important at Bridgeway. Each of us is responsible to encourage and strengthen one another in the body of Christ. We do this primarily in our small groups which we call community groups.
All of this is to prepare us for mission as we seek to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ in our neighborhoods and ultimately to the nations of the earth.
