Andy Edwards-finalPastor of Missions

Since 2009

Who I am:

I've spent the majority of my life in Oklahoma. I began attending Bridgeway Church in 2004 and came on staff in 2009. I've been married to my beautiful wife Laura for more than twelve years, and we have three kids, Elizabeth, Owen, and Charlie. It is so much fun to be with family and to share life with friends. When my family and I have free time, we love to listen to music, dance around the living room, ride bikes, go to parks, and vacation in Crested Butte, Colorado. We love sports and always root for the Oklahoma Sooners, the Chicago Bears, and the New York Mets. Life is moving fast, and we want to enjoy every moment.

What I do:

It is a joy to be called to lead our people in discipleship and mission. I desire to see people walk in the love, joy, and freedom that only Jesus brings. John 15 always stands out to me. It says life is about abiding in Jesus, deeply caring for one another, and courageously proclaiming the Gospel to all. It is my passion to see Spirit-filled believers who know the love of Jesus and boldly proclaim this love in word, deed, and power to our broken world - both in the everyday moments and to the uttermost parts. I long to see the church today mirror the church beautifully depicted in the book of Acts. God is at work in and through believers to accomplish His purposes for His glory. What a privilege it is to be a part of this story at Bridgeway Church.

What God did:

There was a time in my life when anxiety and fear were my default. It seemed that around every corner was something I could not handle or prepare for adequately. But God did not want to leave me in that place. God sent Jesus to rescue me. Jesus said He would always be with me and would never stop loving me. Now I can walk in peace and joy.
